Provider plan / limitation notes (read carefully)
- Crypto — Binance public WebSocket + REST are genuinely real-time and keyless. CoinGecko fallback is delayed (~25s polling).
- FX — Frankfurter serves ECB daily reference rates (DELAYED by design, updated ~once per day). True real-time FX needs a keyed feed (e.g. Twelve Data, Polygon, or FXCM).
- Metals — gold-api.com is delayed spot; real-time precious-metals feeds are paid (e.g. OANDA, Twelve Data metals, Bloomberg).
- Indices / Energy / Bonds / DXY — no keyless real-time source. With MARKET_DATA_API_KEY set (Twelve Data: 15-min delayed on free tier for many venues), live server quotes activate; otherwise these are REFERENCE only and never labeled LIVE.
- News — RSS business feeds are free + real-time (publisher permitting). GNews adds breadth with a key. Sentiment labels are heuristic and can be wrong; AI summaries when present are labeled "AI SUMMARY".
- Economic calendar — curated reference schedule without a key. A keyed live calendar (Twelve Data / FMP economic calendar) hydrates real actuals and surprises the moment they release.
